An empty board does not always mean no game exists.
A quiet board can mean no edge, missing coverage, delayed data, stale context, or simply no material move.
Before trusting a quiet board
- Check whether the source is fresh, stale, delayed, unavailable, or unsafe to rank.
- Confirm whether sportsbook odds exist for the game or market.
- Check whether prediction-market context exists separately from sportsbook context.
- Verify schedule, start time, injury context, and late scratches.
- Ask what missing data would change the answer.
